Our Story
Kitchen by BK began the way most honest things do: with our hands. Long before we ever touched wood, our family was already crafting, working with different materials, learning what it takes to build something meant to last. When we found teak, everything changed. There was a warmth to it, a strength to it, that nothing else gave us. We fell in love with the craft of shaping it, and we haven't stopped since.
Today, Kitchen by BK is proudly family owned, handmade in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, by a team of over 11 skilled craftspeople. Every piece starts as solid teak wood and is finished with honestly clean materials, free from hidden toxins, plastics, and forever chemicals, so what touches your food stays as pure as the wood itself.
Our Starting Point
We believe kitchenware should be more than something you use. It should be something you notice, made with the same care as the meals you prepare with it. A cutting board isn't just a tool. It's the first thing your hands touch when you begin to cook, and the last thing you set down once the meal is done.
Our goal has always been to take kitchenware beyond utility and shape it into something closer to art, without ever losing sight of what matters most: it has to survive daily use, for years, in a real kitchen.
What We Stand For
Heritage & Craftsmanship
Every Kitchen by BK piece passes through the hands of a skilled craftsperson before it reaches yours. We build on a tradition of Nigerian woodworking, shaped in Ile-Ife and carried into every piece we make.
Honest, Clean Materials
No plastics. No BPA. No forever chemicals. Just solid teak wood, finished to be genuinely safe for food, so what you serve your family stays as pure as what went into making it.
Design as Art
We don't see kitchenware as an afterthought. Every bowl, board, and tray is designed with the same intention as a piece of art, because your kitchen deserves objects worth keeping, not just using.
Quality you can feel
Teak is one of the most durable woods in the world, and we treat every piece accordingly. What we make is meant to be used daily, for years, not replaced every season.
Let's bring honest craftsmanship back to your kitchen
